The problem

Not all bank statements are available as a digital file. Sometimes you only receive a PDF — for example from a foreign bank, a credit card company, or from a client who no longer has the original file.

A PDF contains no structured data. Your accounting software cannot process it. Manually retyping it is time-consuming, error-prone and unnecessary.

The solution: AI extraction

For an AI scan StatementBridge uses Mistral AI (paid scan) or the provider of your own key (Pro: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Mistral or xAI). Text PDFs are read without AI first. Scanned documents are also supported via image recognition.

Two ways to use AI

Per scan (credits)

No subscription or own key needed: start the AI scan for 1 credit per PDF (up to 50 pages). The paid scan runs on Mistral AI. The export then counts separately as a conversion.

Pro with your own API key

With Pro you use your own Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Mistral or xAI API key. The scan then uses no credit; you pay the provider directly. The export counts as a conversion within your Pro allowance.

Important: data processing

An AI scan sends text or page images from the PDF, including any personal data, to an external provider. The paid AI scan uses Mistral AI; Pro with your own key uses the provider you select (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Mistral or xAI). Processing location, retention and training use depend on the provider, product and account settings. The AI scan only starts after your choice; always verify the extracted transactions.

After extraction, you export to the format of your choice. Compatible with, among others:
