Convert your file for Exact OnlineCommon import problems in Exact Online
Exact Online accepts bank statements in MT940 and CAMT.053 format. Yet imports regularly fail. The most common causes:
- Format differences per bank — Each bank implements MT940 slightly differently. ING, ABN AMRO and Rabobank each use their own variation.
- Unknown tags or fields — Exact Online expects specific MT940 tags that are not always provided by every bank.
- CSV or Excel from the bank — More and more banks deliver statements as CSV or only via PDF. Exact Online does not accept these formats directly.
- CAMT.053 version conflicts — Different versions of the ISO 20022 standard can be incompatible.
The solution: StatementBridge
- Upload — Upload your bank statement (MT940, CAMT.053, CSV, Excel or PDF)
- Review — StatementBridge automatically recognises the structure and displays all transactions
- Download — Export as standardised MT940 or CAMT.053 that Exact Online accepts
