Download a bank statement from N26

How to export your N26 transactions and convert them to MT940 or CAMT.053 for your accounting.

N26 is a popular mobile bank, but it does not provide a ready-made accounting format. For your accounting you export a CSV and convert it to MT940 or CAMT.053. In this guide you will learn how that works and what to watch out for.

Which formats does N26 offer?

  • CSV — an overview of your transactions (only via the web environment).
  • PDF — monthly statements for archiving and review.

N26 does not offer MT940 or CAMT.053. If you want to import your transactions into your accounting package, you convert the CSV export. You do this in a few seconds with StatementBridge.

Export CSV via N26 (web)

  1. Log in to the N26 WebApp on your computer (the CSV export is not in the mobile app).
  2. Open your transactions and set the desired date range.
  3. Click Download / Export and choose CSV.
  4. Save the file in a fixed location (for example \Bank statements\N26\2026\).

Note these N26 points

  • IBAN missing. The N26 CSV does not always contain your own IBAN. StatementBridge asks for this if needed, so that the MT940/CAMT.053 file contains a correct account.
  • Check the last day. When exporting over a long period, transactions on the last day may sometimes be missing. Request the range slightly wider if necessary and check the closing balance.
  • WebApp required. The CSV export is only available on the computer.

Frequently asked questions

Does N26 offer MT940 or CAMT.053?

Why is the IBAN missing from my MT940?

The N26 CSV does not always contain your own IBAN. StatementBridge asks for this if needed, so that the generated MT940 or CAMT.053 file contains a correct account.

Can I export the CSV in the N26 app?

No. The CSV export is only available in the N26 WebApp on the computer; the mobile app only offers PDF statements.

Transactions are missing on the last day of my export. How do I fix this?

When exporting over a long period, transactions on the last day may sometimes be missing. Request the range slightly wider and check the closing balance before importing.
