Download a bank statement from Wise
How to export your Wise transactions per currency to MT940, CAMT.053 or CSV for your accounting.
Wise (formerly TransferWise) is widely used for international payments and multi-currency accounts. Fortunately, for your accounting Wise provides accounting-friendly formats directly — and whatever your package cannot read, you can easily convert.
Which formats does Wise offer?
- MT940 and CAMT.053 — the accounting exports for direct import.
- CSV and XLSX — for analysis and manual processing.
- PDF — for archiving and review.
- QIF and JSON — for specific software and integrations.
Important: Wise works per currency
A Wise account can hold balances in multiple currencies (“jars”). A statement is always per currency. You can select multiple currencies at once, but in your accounting it is best to post each currency to its own ledger account. See also importing foreign currency in Exact Online.
Download a statement via Wise
- Log in to wise.com (web) or the Android app.
- Click your initials in the top right and choose Statements and reports.
- Choose Statement and select the desired currency(ies) and period (maximum 365 days per export).
- Select the format: CAMT.053 or MT940 for accounting, or CSV for analysis.
- Download the file. Large exports are sometimes delivered as a ZIP or via an email link.
