Download a bank statement from Revolut
How to export your Revolut transactions to MT940, CAMT.053 or CSV for your accounting.
Revolut is increasingly used for business payments and cards. For your accounting you need a file that your accounting package can read. Which formats are available depends on the type of account: Revolut Business or a personal account.
Which formats does Revolut offer?
Revolut Business offers two types of exports:
- Account statement — as PDF or CSV (overview and review).
- Accounting export — as CAMT.053 (XML) or MT940 (TXT), specifically for import into accounting software.
A personal Revolut account usually only offers a PDF and CSV overview. For MT940 or CAMT.053 you convert that CSV with StatementBridge.
Create the accounting export (Revolut Business)
- Open the Revolut Business app or the web environment (you need the “manage accounts” permissions).
- Go to Accounts and choose Statements.
- Choose between Account statement and Accounting export; for MT940/CAMT.053 choose the accounting export.
- Select the account, the period and the file type (CAMT.053 or MT940).
- Click Generate or Share to download or email the file.
Note: time zone (UTC)
Revolut statements use UTC as the time zone by default. Around the day or month boundary, a transaction may therefore fall on a different date than you expect. The CSV often contains both local time and UTC — keep this in mind when reconciling with your general ledger and when selecting the period.
Personal account or converting CSV
Do you only have a CSV (personal account or by preference)? Convert it reliably into a structured bank file:
Import the converted file into your accounting software
| Accounting package | Guide |

| Exact Online | Import bank statements in Exact Online |
| Twinfield | Import bank statements in Twinfield |
| Moneybird | Import bank statements in Moneybird |
| AFAS | Import bank statements in AFAS |
Points to note for Revolut statements
- Foreign currencies. Revolut works with multiple currency balances. Download a separate file per currency and post them to the correct ledger account.
- UTC time zone. Take date shifts around the day/month boundary into account.
- Personal vs. Business. Only Business delivers MT940/CAMT.053 directly; personal requires conversion.
Frequently asked questions
Does Revolut provide MT940 and CAMT.053?
Revolut Business offers an 'accounting export' in CAMT.053 (XML) and MT940 (TXT), in addition to PDF and CSV. A personal Revolut account usually only provides PDF and CSV; you convert that CSV with StatementBridge.
Why do transactions appear on a different date than expected?
Revolut statements use the UTC time zone by default. Around the day or month boundary a transaction may therefore fall on a different date. The CSV often contains both local time and UTC.
How do I handle multiple currencies with Revolut?
Download a separate file per currency and post each currency to the correct ledger account. For importing with a fictitious IBAN, see also our article about foreign currency in Exact Online.
